　　THE Duchess of Cambridge stunned Christmas shoppers yesterday by popping into a bargain store to buy festive gifts.

　　昨天，凯特王妃让不少为圣诞节采购的民众震惊不已，因为她在一家打折商店购买圣诞节礼物。

　　Kate, 36, who was with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, mingled with crowds in cut-price outlet The Range.

　　今年36岁的凯特带着乔治王子和夏洛特公主，跟随人群进入打折店The Range。

　　She bought trolley-loads of pictures, children's books and artist materials then queued at the tills.

　　凯特买了一手推车的图片、儿童读物和手工材料，然后开始排队结账。

　　One mum said: “I did a double-take when I saw her. You don't expect to see royals shopping at The Range.”

　　一位母亲说：“我看了两次才确认是她，怎么都想不到会在The Range看到王室成员。”

　　It is believed Kate was buying for fellow royals.

　　据说凯特是在为王室成员挑礼物。

　　The Queen likes her family to swap modest, jokey gifts on Christmas Eve in line with German tradition.

　　女王喜欢在圣诞节前夕和家人依照德国传统互换不贵又有趣的礼物。

　　The mum who saw Kate said she only realised it really was her in the store, when she spotted George, five, and Charlotte, three.

　　看到凯特的母亲说她是通过五岁的乔治和三岁的夏洛特认出凯特的。

　　She said: “I recognised little Prince George holding Kate's hand and Charlotte with a red bow in her hair.

　　“我认出乔治牵着凯特的手，夏洛特发间别着红色的蝴蝶结。”

　　“Their protection officers were keeping a discreet distance so they looked like any other family out grabbing last-minute Christmas bargains.

　　“他们的警卫员保持着低调的距离，所以看起来和抢购圣诞礼物的其他家庭一样。”

　　“When Kate got to the checkouts I plucked up courage to ask if she'd do a selfie with me and my kids. She very politely declined. She was so nice, explaining she was just doing a bit of Christmas shopping.”

　　“凯特结账的时候我终于鼓起勇气问她能不能和我以及孩子们拍张像，她礼貌地拒绝了，，人真的很好，她说自己只是在圣诞购物。”
